Butanol convert into propanol

1st method C3H7CH2OH oxidized into AcidC3H7COOH then NH3and hoffman broamide(Br2+KOH) C3H7NH2 and treted with,HNO2 C3H7OH
2nd butanol undergoes dehydration ,ozonolysis then we get propanal and metanal .propanal with LiAIH4 give propanol
